Industrial Epoxy Flooring
Industrial Epoxy Flooring Protects the Slab
After all, fixing damaged concrete is expensive and shuts you down. Instead, industrial epoxy flooring takes the wear, so the slab underneath stays sound. In addition, we can add line marking for forklift lanes, walkways and bays as part of the same job.
For the coating itself, we use professional, Australian-made coating systems from suppliers such as Hychem, with heavy-duty high-build and solid colour options to suit forklift traffic and regular spills.
Industrial Epoxy Flooring for Warehouses, Factories & Workshops
Over time, forklifts, oil and chemicals wear out bare concrete. That’s why we coat warehouses, factories and workshops across Brisbane and South East Queensland to protect the slab and make the site safer.
To begin with, every job starts with a site inspection, so we can check the slab, plan around your operating hours and recommend the right system for your traffic. Likewise, if you’re after something smaller, we also do commercial and residential floors.
Built for Heavy Use
In short, here’s what a heavy-duty coating does for your site.
Longer Slab Life
As a result, the coating takes the wear from wheels and impacts instead of your concrete.
No More Concrete Dust
Because the floor is sealed, dust stops settling on stock and machinery.
Safer Traffic Flow
Clear lanes keep forklifts and people apart and, as a result, traffic flows safely.
Oil & Chemical Resistance
Furthermore, oil, fuel and common workshop spills wipe up instead of soaking into the slab.
How We Install Industrial Epoxy Flooring
Every floor goes down in five layers, first diamond grinding and finally a UV-stable topcoat. To see exactly what goes into your industrial epoxy flooring, check out our process.
Industrial Epoxy Flooring FAQs
Below are answers to the questions warehouse, factory and workshop managers ask us most before booking industrial epoxy flooring. However, every site is different, so treat these as a guide, and feel free to ask us about your own project. Of course, we’re happy to talk it through on site before you commit to anything.
How long does industrial epoxy flooring take to install?
Every job and system is different, Depending on the scope of work, the size of the floor and the system you choose. As a result, every timeline is different, so you’ll get a clear one in your quote before any work starts.
Can you work around our operating hours?
Yes. Every job is tailored to your schedule and operating hours. In other words, the work fits around your business rather than the other way around. Just tell us how your site runs and we’ll plan the job to suit.
When can forklifts drive on the new floor?
It depends on the system you choose. For example, different coatings need different cure times before they can take forklifts and heavy traffic. For that reason, we’ll confirm the return-to-service time for your floor before we start.
What about old coatings, cracks and oil stains?
Any old flooring or coatings are removed. Then the slab is freshly resurfaced with diamond grinding before the new system goes down. Diamond grinding allowed for a mechanical bond between the surface and coating.
Can you add line marking and safety zones?
Yes. We can mark forklift lanes, pedestrian walkways, pallet bays and hazard zones on any job. That way, you don’t need a separate contractor.
Is an epoxy floor slippery?
Every site and job requires a different coating. Therefore, we’ll recommend a finish to suit how each area is used, including how much grip it needs when it’s wet or oily.
Which system is right for my site?
We work that out with an on-site consultation. During the visit, we look at the slab, the traffic, the chemicals and how each area is used. After that, we recommend the system that suits your site. Since there’s no one-size-fits-all answer, we don’t guess from a phone call.
How long will the floor last?
It depends on the system you choose and how the floor is used. For instance, vehicle traffic, chemicals and cleaning all play a part. We’ll talk you through what to expect for your site during quoting.
Can you coat a new concrete slab?
Yes. However, a new slab needs at least 30 days after it’s poured to fully cure before it can be coated. Once it’s cured, we can prepare it and apply your chosen system.
How do I clean and look after the floor?
Care depends on the system you choose. Different coatings have different cleaning and maintenance needs, we’ll give you care instructions for your floor when the job is finished.
Do you work outside Brisbane?
Yes. Although we’re based in Brisbane, we service industrial sites right across Queensland.
